Masaki has made more than forty black-and-white bird prints using three different printing methods; namely, wood engraving, woodblock and intaglio. Owls are his favorite bird subject but no attempt was made to copy the external features of real species. Instead, each was drawn in a highly creative way with no two alike. Twelve examples of this novelty, from the wood engraved series Kung-Fu Forest, are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. To see more prints by Masaki click here.
